Celebrations for Cedar’s 20th Anniversary began last week with the Annual Fusion Dinner, presented by the Senior School Food & Hospitality students.
The Year 12 students designed and prepared a 5-course menu in a fitting tribute to Fusion Dinners of years gone by. The courses included an amuse bouche of panko crusted prawn with chive aioli, a Rojak Asian inspired salad and an entree of tomato & bocconcini tart with rocket salad. The main course was a heart-warming slow cooked beef ragu with mushrooms and parmesan mash and dessert was a delicious raspberry and lime glazed dome.
The great evening of food was accompanied by excellent waiting staff and an evening of enjoyable entertainment supplied by Mr Hill and his talented music students, who serenaded the restaurant throughout the evening.
The highlight of the night was the spectacular seven tiered Celebration Cake, which also allowed each guest to take home a decorated cupcake as well as a 20th Anniversary engraved souvenir glass. Thank you to all of the students and Miss Zimmermann for a very special 20th Anniversary Dinner.
