We are seeking an enthusiastic teacher with a repertoire of teaching techniques, including explicit teaching to equip students with the essential skills required to investigate, communicate ideas, and to be problem solvers.

We are looking for a dedicated educator who will hold close to these values and will work collaboratively with a year level team to ensure optimal learning and nurturing of children’s physical, social, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing.


QUALIFICATIONS AND CHECKS:

  • Approved teacher education qualification, registered as a teacher in South Australia.
  • A current Working with Children Check.
  • A current RRHAN-EC certificate (Responding to the Risk of Harm, Abuse and Neglect – Education and Care training).
  • Protective Practices online course completion.

DETAILS SPECIFIC TO THIS POSITION:

Key responsibilities: Classroom teacher, teaching a single year level between Years 3–6, teaching all aspects of The Australian Curriculum as pertinent to that year level. (Science, LOTE, PE, Health, and Performing Arts are taught by specialist teachers at Cedar College.)

Personal Requirements: Bachelor of Primary Education or equivalent, along with a desire to implement evidence-based teaching approaches. You will need to demonstrate a sincere commitment to Jesus Christ, the philosophy of Christian Education, and be actively involved in your local church.

The Primary School PE Teacher is responsible for designing and implementing physical education programs that enhance students’ physical development, coordination, and fitness.

We are seeking an enthusiastic teacher with a repertoire of teaching techniques to teach various sports, exercises, and activities, fostering motor skills, teamwork, and fair play. The role also involves planning lessons that accommodate different skill levels, assessing student progress, and encouraging a positive attitude towards physical activity.

This role also includes ensuring a safe learning environment, managing equipment, and contributing to organising school sports events; such as sports days and extracurricular activities. The teacher serves as a role model, promoting health, wellness, and an active lifestyle among young students.
