20th Anniversary Time Capsule
Primary School goes back to the future
The Primary School has been very busy over the last few terms, in readiness for our 20th Anniversary celebrations.
Students in the Primary School have been preparing items during their Library lessons to be included in the time capsule, which was buried during a special dedication time last week. The Primary School Prefects talked to the students about the significance of each of the items being added to the time capsule, and the Primary School band performed a number of items, including the very apt theme from “Back to the Future”. The path above the time capsule features the new History Pavers, listing the names of many families who have been a part of Cedar College over the years.
As well as the time capsule and pavers, the Primary School courtyard also features two new octagonal benches which were made especially for the students by some very talented CityReach volunteers. The Primary School students were reminded by Cedar College Board Chairman, Mr Lou George, that the area on which the new benches are situated was where the original Primary School was built. The new benches are sure to be a favourite place to sit for many students over the years to come.
