Building Projects in progress

New High School 4-Classroom Block
Work is progressing well and the framework is now in place for the new High School block. The new building will feature flelxible classroom areas designed specifically to cater for new learning technologies. With a growing Senior School population, the new facility will be an exciting addition to Cedar College.

Building Projects recently completed
A number of major projects have been completed at Cedar College in 2011.

Cedar College Sports Centre
Eighteen months after first breaking ground on the school site, the Cedar College Sports Centre was officially opened by the Hon. Kate Ellis MP (Federal Member for Adelaide).

The new Art Centre was also officially opened, and an exhibition of work was held to coincide with the opening. The artwork featured canvases which recorded the construction of the of the Sports Centre, and a series of free-standing ‘runners’ painted by the Year 9 students.

Food and Hospitality Centre
Two other new Cedar College facilities were officially opened this year. The Food and Hospitality Centre was visited by Kate Ellis MP and members of the Block Grant Authority, who inspected the newly completed kitchen and dining room facilities. Students are already enjoying the use of the new Hospitality Centre and the commercial grade appliances now available to them.

Car Park changes

New Foster Road Loop
The new Fosters Road ‘Loop’, designed for quick drop-off and short-term parking is now in use for vehicles entering from Fosters Road.

The loop has been designed to keep drop-off traffic both slow and safe during the busy morning and afternoon times.
